Our ferry (Transcaribe 1) connects the Island of Cozumel with the port of Sac Tun (Punta Venado Calica) in Playa del Carmen, moving cargo and family vehicles every day of the year. (Subject to safe navigation weather conditions).
Prearranged with a Roll On / Roll Off form, the Transcaribe 1 was built in Greece in 2015, with a specialized design that allows more efficient loading and unloading logistics, due to the fact that it has two ramps at each of its ends (bow and stern), so vehicles enter head-on and exit head-on. It has two decks to transport family and cargo vehicles, an air-conditioned lounge and outdoor areas.

The ship has two decks for vehicles, the main one partially exposed to the elements and the lower one completely closed connected by an interior ramp.
We transport any type of vehicle, whose dimensions do not exceed the following maximum dimensions:
Maximum Height: 4.15 Meters.
Maximum Width: 3.60 Meters.
It is worth mentioning that if your unit is more than 2.60 meters wide, you will be charged a surplus, which will be charged as follows: The rate of the length of your unit (with or without excess), plus 50% of the rate of the length of the unit.
Transcaribe´s propulsion system has been created by the German firm Schottel, one of the most advanced systems in the world shipping industry.
Veth Rudder propellers´ are combined propulsion and steering systems to endure a performance up to 6,000 Kw, which converts engine power into optimal thrust. This equipment is steerable to reach 360 degrees with full performance for maneuvers and dynamic positioning of the boat.
